The TBSSTO3 soil temperature probe from Tekbox is a soil temperature sensor with SDI-12 interface that can operate over a wide temperature range.
The electronic parts are mounted in a UV-resistant resin/glass fiber reinforced tube and the sensors are based on Swiss-made PT1000 with 0.1 ̊C accuracy.
The sensor is typically used to measure the temperature in situations where probing is difficult, such as in boreholes or underground trenches.
The device has excellent long-term stability and a short response time. It can be used in temperatures between -40°C – +80ºC. It is supplied with a 3 meter cable, but can be ordered with a customized cable length upon request.
