Flow measurement Signature Doppler principle with display, designed for flow measurement in open channels
The Teledyne ISCO Signature Doppler principle flow measurement is designed for open channel monitoring applications. The device supports flow measurement technologies including bubbles, non-contact laser area velocity, submerged Doppler ultrasonic velocity and ultrasonic. The meter can calculate flow using standard open channel level-to-flow and area velocity conversions as well as user-defined equations, level to area data points or level to flow data points depending on the application needs.
The Signature flow meter has unique features to verify data integrity. It logs key events such as calibration changes and power outages to validate data accuracy. Data can be easily reviewed to detect any type of data change. With multiple smart interface options and logging of multiple parameters (such as pH), the Signature flow meter provides a common platform for control action, reporting and communication.
Multiple flow technologies are available so you can choose the best flow technology for your measurement site and channel conditions. Available technologies are: bubbles, ultrasound, continuous wave color velocity and non-contact LaserFlow® velocity.
Designed for stationary flow measurement in open channels and sewers. It is also often used for flow measurement in smaller watercourses. It has its strengths in applications up to approx. 1 x 1 meter. An average velocity is measured via advanced Doppler technology. At the same time, the level is measured with a very stable pressure transmitter that is atmosphere compensated.
With knowledge of the measured profile, the water-bearing area is determined and the average velocity is multiplied, thereby obtaining a reliable flow measurement.
