The RM Young Alpine HD Wind Monitor 05108-45 combines the features of the HD unit with the ice-resistant coating of our popular Alpine Wind Monitor. Robust, reliable, durable. All words to describe the latest addition to the Young family of wind monitors, designed to withstand the most extreme environments. The unit uses extremely long-lasting, wear-resistant ceramic bearings to increase the lifespan many times longer than standard stainless steel. In addition to being more durable, ceramic bearings are resistant to corrosion in environments that are hostile to steel bearings.
The unit also features an oversized propeller shaft, high-pitch propeller, and locking propeller nut, all features that further enhance the sensor’s long-term reliability.
All external housing surfaces are coated with a specially formulated, ice-resistant coating to improve performance in harsh alpine conditions. The all-black color scheme further enhances the sensor’s performance.
The instrument is mounted on standard 1 inch pipe.
