Protective shield for sensors 41003 – against error-producing solar radiation and precipitation
Young’s 41003 Sensor Protection Shield protects temperature and relative humidity sensors from error-producing solar radiation and precipitation. Its compact size and light weight make this shield useful for many applications.
The multiple panels have a unique profile that blocks direct and reflected solar radiation, yet allows easy passage of air. The panel material is specially formulated for high reflectivity, low thermal conductivity, and maximum weather resistance. The sturdy U-bolt mounting bracket easily attaches to any vertical pipe up to 2 inches in diameter.
The Model 41003 uses a universal clamp-type adapter to securely hold sensors up to 16 mm in diameter. The Model 41003P has a custom-sized adapter that will fit a sensor with a diameter of 16 mm to 26 mm (24 mm supplied unless otherwise noted). A variety of temperature and humidity probes are available.
