Description
Non-contact ultrasonic level transmitter IMP series
The Pulsar IMP series non-contact ultrasonic level transmitter is designed to be used wherever you need accurate and reliable level measurement. Its digital echo processing means the IMP+ is perfect for slurries, liquids or anywhere you need a display to tell you the level or an analogue output to interface to your site control system or drive a monitor.
Several measurement ranges are available from 200 mm to 10 m (7.9 to 32.8 ft) and each can be connected for 2- or 3-wire operation. All options feature an LCD display and digital temperature measurement and compensation. When combined with Pulsar’s PC Suite, users are able to download, analyze and save echo profiles, set the IMP’s parameters, install new firmware to your IMP and add a flow curve to configure the level for flow linearization.
The series consists of
The IMP series consists of 3 variants.
- IMP+
- IMP Lite
- IMP IS
IMP IS is ATEX approved
The IMP IS is a combined range of transducer and controller in a single unit. The IMP+IS is certified to ATEX standard EEx ia IIC T4 and IECEx and is available with wetted parts in PVDF, making it ideal for measuring in corrosive or aggressive applications or anywhere you need accurate and reliable level measurement. The IMP+IS benefits from our specially designed digital echo processing technology. The IMP+IS is available in three sizes from 3m to 10m (9.8ft to 32.8ft). With the benefit of the built-in LCD display and keypad, the IMP+IS is straightforward to set up using menu-guided programming.
IMP Lite Affordable alternative
Designed to be a lower cost alternative to the IMP+, the IMP Lite can be used wherever you need reliable, non-contact level measurement. The unique built-in digital echo processing software means the IMP Lite is perfect for slurries or liquids and those applications where you need a built-in display to tell you the level or an analogue output to integrate with your site management system to drive a display.
The IMP Lite is compact and low profile, when used on battery power for intermittent (wake-up) applications, it has a fast start-up time of approximately 3 seconds, maximizing battery life. Active and passive (sourcing and sinking) analog outputs aid in system integration, especially when retrofitting the unit into older installations. Pulsar PC Suite is optional software that adds to the capabilities of the IMP Lite and allows users to download and analyze data, save echo profiles, program IMP Lite parameters, update the unit, and provides a flow curve to configure level to flow linearization.
