Modem module for sample recorder GSM from Teledyne Isco, allows Isco 6712 sample recorders (including Avalanche® sample recorders) to transmit alarms as text messages (“SMS”) to a telephone or pager that can receive SMS messages.
It also allows the sampler to communicate with a modem-equipped PC for data reception and control. The device is compatible with user-subscribed GSM digital mobile phone service (such as Vodafone and T-Mobile). GSM service is available throughout most of Europe and increasingly available in many other parts of the world. Your GSM subscription parameters are stored in a SIM card that you install in the modem. You can change your service parameters – or provider – by replacing the SIM card.
