Inertial Pump 404 from Solinst consists in all its simplicity of a pipe equipped with a ball flap valve at the bottom. It can be used manually at shallower depths, or by using a mechanical pump. After mounting the valve on the pipe, this is lowered into the water, and by pushing the pipe up and down in the water, water is pressed into the pipe by the downward movement, while the ball closes the valve during the upward movement.
