The Conductivity Salinity and Temperature WaterTechw2 from Partech can, with its diverse measuring ranges, be used in a variety of different types of applications. The measuring system is set up to provide optimal accuracy and resolution for the chosen application.
Conductivity is a widely applicable measurement method. It can be used to provide information about dissolved minerals in the water. In process water it can be used as an indicator of whether the water purification system is working. In some cases it can be used to prevent scaling from tap water hardness, especially in boiler feed water. In many applications conductivity can be used as a measure of total dissolved solids and is a useful, general indicator of water quality.
For installation in locations where sludge is expected, it is recommended to install the sensor using our specially designed mounting system with a flexible joint in the mounting shaft. The flexible joint allows the sensor to move in the process, thereby reducing sludge build-up and sliding solid particles in the water stream off. This movement is similar to that achieved with a floating ball installation, with the added advantage that the sensor is located below the liquid surface. In applications where fouling is not expected or where there is insufficient space, alternative mounting solutions can be used.
