Description
Color sensor ColTechw2 for indicating the color of water
The color sensor ColTechw2 from Partech is specifically designed to monitor apparent color in applications where a broad indication of the color of the water is required. The self-cleaning sensor is ideal for monitoring in the intake phase of drinking water processing, enabling automatic coagulation control without the need for a complex analyzer.
Organic materials such as humic acid or metals such as iron and manganese dissolved in water will appear as an unacceptable yellow cast. If discolored water enters the water supply network, customers will quickly become aware of the problem.
The sensor requires very little maintenance with no special tools or training. Calibration can be performed against either a wet standard or using a reference standard.
