Description
Battery-powered RTU TBS12B Lorawan for SDI-12 sensors
The battery-powered RTU TBS12B LoRawan from Tekbox is an outdoor RTU compatible with LoRaWAN 1.02. The device is designed to handle applications where the maximum range of SDI-12 is a limitation, by taking advantage of the long range of LoRa. The TBS12B is supplied within an IP67-rated die-cast aluminum housing along with a fixture to tie it to a pole. Its connector allows for direct connection to an SDI-12 sensor or a junction box if multiple SDI-12 sensors are to be installed locally.
The built-in LoRa modem supports both low (433/470MHz) and high (868/915MHz) LoRa radio bands, making the TBS12B suitable for use anywhere without having to replace the RF board.
The TBS12B is deployed as a unique node in a typical LoRaWAN network architecture, sending its packets to the gateway, which forwards them to the LoRaWAN server via a TCP/IP connection:
