Description
Anemometer TBSWS1 SDI-12 has SDI-12 interface
The Tekbox TBSWS1 SDI-12 anemometer is a versatile wind meter with an SDI-12 interface. It offers two operating modes. The device can either measure short-term wind speed or measure average wind speed, maximum wind speed and minimum wind speed over a configurable logging period.
It is based on a robust aluminum housing with polyester coating. Precision, low-friction bearings and a stainless steel shaft make it a very reliable device. The use of a magnetic rotary encoder as the sensing element eliminates the disadvantages associated with reed switches used in conventional anemometers.
Optionally, the anemometer can be supplied with an integrated heater for de-icing.
TBSWS1 is a robust anemometer with SDI-12 interface. The measurement result can be set to any unit, using extended SDI-12 commands.
TBSWS1 can measure wind speed in one of the units below:
- 1 kn = 1 sm/h = 1.852 km/h = 0.514 m/s
- 1 m/s = 3.6 km/h = 1.944 kn = 2.237 mph
- 1 km/h = 0.540 kn = 0.278 m/s = 0.621 mph
- 1mph = 1.609344 km/h = 0.8690 kn = 0.447 m/s
In advanced mode 1, the wind speed is measured every 3 seconds. The measurement value is then averaged over a configurable period that must be a multiple of 3 seconds, up to a maximum of 60 seconds. The average values are then collected over a configurable logging period. At the end of the logging period, the average wind speed, minimum and maximum wind speed during the logging period are calculated and stored. After a measure command, the results of the most recently completed logging period will be provided.
