The process of achieving ISO 9001 certification involves several steps. First, an organization must develop a quality management system that complies with the requirements of the standard. This may involve establishing new procedures or modifying existing ones to ensure compliance.
Once the system is in place, a third-party audit is conducted to assess the system. If it complies with the requirements of ISO 9001, the organization will receive its certification. The certification must be reassessed every three years, but annual surveillance audits are also conducted to ensure continued compliance.
In our internal process, Jacob, from our sister company GasDetect, was the driving force behind our certification. It has been a long process that has taken place over the past 1-1.5 years to prepare us for the audit we had here in May.
We had a two-day visit where we reviewed all of our procedures and the way we internally handle our projects and customer contact.
We talked to everyone: Our CEO Søren, Order Handler Henriette, Warehouse Manager Peter and of course our Service Manager Anders. In this way we got around the entire company and got to know every nook and cranny of our quality assurance.

Ultimately, ISO 9001 certification is an investment in the future. It is an investment in ensuring high quality, for our customers, in our suppliers and in our company as a whole. It is a guide that helps us to constantly strive to be better, every single day.
